The Frequency of Nourishment:

 A Sage’s Relationship with Food & Herbs

As we enter the fourth leg of the table — the body — we come back to one of the most important truths of shamanic wisdom: what you put into your body becomes part of your frequency. Food is not just fuel. It is energy. It is vibration. It is relationship.

Every bite carries a story. Every herb carries a memory. Every plant carries a medicine. Every meal is an exchange between you and Mother Earth. When you begin to walk as a Sage, you stop seeing food as numbers on a label and begin seeing nourishment as a ceremony — a living dialogue between your body and the Earth that created it.

Food as Frequency

Your physical body is a living ecosystem, constantly responding to the energy of what you consume. Highly processed foods, synthetic ingredients, and low-vibration meals may fill the stomach… but they weaken your life-force, dull intuition, and disrupt emotional balance.

Conversely, foods grown in soil, kissed by sunlight, nourished by rain, and harvested with intention carry Earth’s frequency — grounding, stabilizing, strengthening, and balancing.

When you choose foods that are alive, vibrant, colorful, or close to their natural state, you are receiving the frequencies of:

  • grounding

  • vitality

  • emotional steadiness

  • mental clarity

  • intuitive strengthening

  • energetic alignment

This is why the shamanic path teaches that food is medicine, and medicine is vibration.

Returning to Mother Earth for Nourishment

Your body is made of the same elements as the Earth — minerals, water, fire, breath, and soil. It’s only natural that the Earth provides exactly what your body needs to stay balanced.

Turning toward Mother Earth means returning to:

  • whole foods

  • roots and vegetables

  • fruits still carrying the sun

  • nuts and seeds

  • pure water

  • clean proteins

  • and occasional indulgences chosen consciously, not compulsively

This is not about strict rules. It is about right relationship — reciprocity. Mother Earth nourishes your body. You nourish the Earth by honoring what she gives.

A Sage’s Relationship with Herbs

Herbs are one of the oldest medicines on Earth — living carriers of memory, lineage, and elemental wisdom. A Sage does not use herbs. A Sage partners with them. She knows that every plant holds a frequency, a teaching, and a story encoded within its leaves, roots, flowers, and scent. When she works with herbs, she is not simply trying to fix a symptom — she is entering into an energetic relationship.

In the shamanic perspective, herbs are more than remedies; they are allies. Each plant carries a vibration that interacts with your own. Some soften the nervous system. Some restore clarity. Some warm the inner fire. Some soothe emotional waters. But beneath the physical effect is something deeper: a frequency that invites the body, heart, and spirit back into balance.

Herbal medicine is the language of Mother Earth — an ancient conversation between human and plant, breath and leaf, intention and essence. When you drink a tea, burn an herb, sit with a plant, or place a tincture on your tongue, you are receiving more than molecules. You are receiving wisdom. You are receiving relationship.

Trust The Process

A Sage approaches herbs with reverence, not urgency. With curiosity, not control. With partnership, not expectation.

She listens before she chooses. She sets intention before she prepares. She gives gratitude before she receives.

Herbs bring the body back into alignment because they speak the same language. Your bones are made of minerals from the soil. Your blood mirrors the salt of the ocean. Your breath moves like the winds. Your warmth carries the fire of transformation. Herbs resonate with the body because they come from the same mother — Pachamama herself.

When you work with herbs consciously, you begin to feel life force rise again. Your body softens. Your intuition sharpens. Your emotions find movement. Your spirit feels supported. This is the medicine of right relationship — not taking from the Earth, but engaging with the healing she freely offers.

Orginal Medicine

To walk as a Sage is to remember that herbs are not “alternative medicine.” They are original medicine — the medicine humanity lived by for thousands of years. The medicine carried by midwives, healers, grandmothers, and ancestral lineages before us.

Herbal healing is not a trend. It is a return.

A return to the Earth. A return to wisdom. A return to relationship. When you partner with herbs, you partner with life itself.

When you slow down, listen, and partner with the plant kingdom, your healing becomes reciprocal. The Earth nourishes you, and in return, you honor the Earth. Every brew, tincture, smoke blend, or infusion becomes a conversation — a meeting place between your energy and the spirit of the plant.

The more you reconnect with herbal allies, the more grounded, intuitive, and balanced your body becomes. Healing becomes less about fixing and more about remembering — remembering that creation has always provided what your body needs.
